About Mr. Paul Marshall

Paul Marshall has been a valued member of our OOB community his entire life.  Mr. Marshall has served society in many ways; from serving in the Vietnam War to volunteering for Meals on Wheels.

Mr. Marshall’s love for reading is very influential for the students he continues to teach.  He models reading of different genres of literature through his own interests.  Some of his favorites are newspapers, magazines that include National Geographic and Time Magazine, as well as short story readings.  He describes these short stories as being “one sitting” from start to finish.  He values short stories where the impact of what is being read is felt immediately.  He has experienced strategic reading through novels such as Great Expectations, A Tale of Two Cities and Oliver Twist.  He also enjoys the World War novels.  One of his favorites is All Quiet on the Western Front.

During his profession as a history teacher, he always supported his instruction with required reading of a novel that related to his teaching.  He always understood the importance literature played in all content areas.  Mr. Marshall is a true reader and an inspiration to many here at LMS for both students and teachers.
