Curriculum
Curriculum
Teams of teachers and administrators in various disciplines meet monthly to discuss and plan the overall vision and flow of the academic curriculum from Kindergarten to 12th grade. This allows teachers to be directly involved in the process, and bring their experience and knowledge to the table to create a responsive, dynamic curriculum for our students.
There are Curriculum Design Teams in English Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, Health and Wellness, and Visual and Performing Arts. These teams report to a district Advisory Council, which oversees curriculum development in the entire RSU.
Other specialist groups also meet regularly, and are supported by district Administrative Liaisons.
Curriculum priorities and levels of funding are largely determined by adherence to the RSU23 5 year curriculum cycle.
Information about these efforts can be found by following the links to the left.
